Cheap Plasma TV
What is a cheap price to pay for a Plasma tv? The goalposts on
this one are changing all the time and the longer you wait the cheaper
they will become. At the time of writing, July 2004, anything under
$2500 would be considered cheap for a 42 inch ED plasma tv. Whether
you would recognize the brand name, what type of picture quality
you would get and what sort of warranty you would have not to mention
worrying about the gray market are all open to debate. As I say,
prices are coming down all the time, so another option, if you have
the patience, might be to wait till a recognized brand name plasma
tv drops into your price bracket.
But if you want your widescreen plasma fix right now, what is available.
Most major vendors are now able to supply Plasma MONITORS for less
than $2500, including well known brands such as Panasonic and Samsung.
Monitors usually come without built-in tuners and speakers.
Plasma TV's for less than $2500 are harder to find.
Tiger
Direct have three brands available, two of which you will more
than likely never heard of.
