BenQ Plasma TV's
BenQ now shipping its popular Plasma displays with built-in
TV tuner
City of Industry, CA (April 14, 2003) - BenQ, an industry leader
in digital lifestyle devices, now offers it plasma display, the
PDP 46W1, with built-in TV tuners. Previously, a separate option,
the TV tuner allows the BenQ plasma display the full capabilities
to function as both a presentation display and television set.
The BenQ PDP 46W1 plasma display has long been a popular product
to add to any multimedia system, and now with the built-in TV
tuner, its versatility is limitless. Instead of just being used
for commercial applications, consumers can use their plasmas as
true television sets with HDTV compatible functionality.
"With the addition of the built-in TV tuner, the BenQ plasma
display can now be the centerpiece of a home theater system,"
said Stephanie Wang, product manager of the Digital Media division
at BenQ. "By adding the TV tuner to our plasma display, the
display is no longer just for presentations and industrial functions.
The television tuner makes the BenQ plasma display into a true
plasma television."
BenQ PDP 46W1
The BenQ PDP 46W1 is a 46-inch, 16:9 wide-format display screen
with a brightness of 700-cd/m2, a WVGA resolution of 852 x 480
(it can support up to XGA 1024 x 768) and an 850:1 contrast ratio.
It features 3D Comb Filter application, 3-2 pull-down recovery,
de-interlacing, low gray level correction and BenQ's unique dynamic
white balance connection.
The BenQ PDP 46W1 is HDTV compatible and uses the latest digital
imaging technology featuring BenQ's proprietary Digital Signal
Processing technology. The plasma also provides a user-setting
image that automatically protects the plasma from burning in images
from a static picture. Weighing 78 pounds (without its stand)
and only 4.2-inches thick, it can be hung anywhere.
