Auton Leads the Way With New Plasma-TV Lifts
The Plasma TV Lift represents yet another first from Auton Motorized
Systems of Santa Clarita, the world's first and largest manufacturer
of motorized television lifts.
Specially designed for the new, plasma-screen televisions that
have recently hit the consumer market, the Plasma TV Lift is ideal
for use practically anywhere, even aboard that 85-foot yacht!
Featuring a rack-and-pinion design make of welded-steel construction,
there are no breakable plastic or aluminum parts or pop rivets
that can loosen or come out over time.
With the Plasma TV Lift, users can conceal and reveal a thin-screen
television in a cabinet with the touch of a button.
No special wiring is required -- the lift operates from a 120VAC/60Hz
outlet -- and the unit is shipped completely assembled for easy
installation.
Features include a manual-override switch in case of a lost or
damaged remote; adjustable limit switches to control the stopping
point of the lift; an electronic box that can be mounted away
from the unit for easy serviceability; gear guards to prevent
objects or wiring from getting caught between the gears and tracks;
and two electrical outlets on the platform.
The Plasma TV Lift is available in two styles: ceiling pop-down
and the up-and-down lift. The ceiling pop-down is strictly a custom
item, while the up-and-down model's standard dimensions are 46"W
x 32"H x 9"D, though custom sizes are available.
Since its inception in 1955, Auton has been providing motorized
lift systems for architects, designers and fine-furniture makers,
opening up a whole new array of design options! Auton lift systems
are installed throughout the world in fine homes, offices, hotels,
yachts and aircraft, just to name a few examples.
Most popular for its use in motorized furniture, other uses include
ceiling pop-down televisions and projectors; motorized screens;
pop-up liquor cabinets; variable-height coffee tables; pop-up
displays and collections; and lift panels.
In the kitchen, Auton has motorized pop-up spice racks; oven hoods;
and a "smart waiter," which brings up the groceries
from the downstairs garage.
Unlike the old-fashioned "scissor-type" lifts, Auton's
specially designed lifts eliminate wobble and can easily lift
uneven loads. To assure the quality of the company's systems,
all of Auton's lifts are made in the United States and backed
by a one-year warranty.
