JVC proudly introduces I'ART PALETTE 42-inch consumer plasma
display
Company's first consumer market plasma TV offers 16x9 D.I.S.T
770p, 1024x768 true XGA and DVI/HDCP.
JVC Company of America today announced plans to introduce a 42-inch
plasma display, the company's first for the consumer market. JVC's
new I'Art Palette PD-42WX84 incorporates the company's new D.I.S.T.
(Digital Image Scaling Technology), which upconverts all images
to 770p.
"We are very excited about offering the consumer market
another version of our Digital Image Scaling Technology,"
said Dan McCarron, National Product Specialist, Color Television
Division, JVC Company of America. "More consumers now realize
that plasma tv isn't just something cool to hang on the wall,
but rather a great TV solution that provides HD quality in a minimum
of space. The successful launch of our I'Art Pro HD CRT and rear
projection television lines this past year makes us confident
that consumers will embrace JVC's new addition to our already
successful high definition lineup."
The new plasma tv model includes an updated version of JVC's
DSD (Digital Super Detail) circuitry - HD DSD - and such home
theater features as TheaterPro 6500K color temperature, Digital
Noise Clear Circuitry, an interactive plug-in menu, XDS ID display,
and Natural Cinema 3-2 pull down with on/off capability for all
telecine sources. It also includes JVC's unique Natural Progressive
picture improvement technologies to optimize signal quality before
the picture is displayed on the screen. JVC's 10.95 Million Pixel
Natural Progressive technology doubles the image data in each
field and uses advanced 3D interpolation to display a solid image
without any noticeable scanning lines and eliminates jagged edge
noise and image trails.
A DVI 1.0-compatible input with HDCP (High Definition Content
Protection) offers an uncompressed solution to the transmission
and display of high definition content. Other features include
Dual Auto Sensing component video inputs to ensure the best possible
picture quality whether the source is DTV, DVD or D-VHS, three
S-video inputs, four AV inputs and an ATSC/NTSC tuner with split
screen and PIP.
For outstanding audio performance, the plasma tv unit incorporates
BBE High Definition Sound Enhancement, a new version of JVC's
Advanced Hyper Surround, and 35 watts of power to complement the
display's Direct Drive 360° Mast Speaker System and subwoofer.
Also included is the convenient AV CompuLink III for connectivity
with JVC audio and video products.
The I'Art Palette PD-42WX84 is the first plasma tv model to complement
the already successful I'Art Pro line, which includes HD CRT and
HD rear projection televisions. It is scheduled for release in
July of 2003 at a Nationally Advertised Value of $7,499.95.
